St Mary’s Hospital, part of the Isle of Wight NHS Trust, is the latest hospital to go live with EuroKing’s latest Maternity Information System, E3.Net. The hospital has used EuroKing’s solutions since 1991 and wanted to take advantage of the enhanced functionality of the latest version, which helps supports changes to the national maternity data. EuroKing is a leading provider of maternity information systems across the UK. Its E3.net ensures that all areas of Minimum Maternity Dataset and Maternity Payment by Results requirements can be collated quickly and easily, allowing the clinician to focus on the mother and her baby.
St Mary’s Hospital was keen to find a replacement which would enable it to stay up to date with the national healthcare agenda, and chose EuroKing’s E3.net in order to meet minimum MDS requirements and to improve audit and governance strategy. The upgrade project began in December 2013.
Annie Hunter, Head of Midwifery for NHS Isle of Wight, says: “We are delighted with the deployment, which went really smoothly. With so many changes in the NHS for midwifery, including the discontinuation of NHS NN4B, it is vital that we do all we can for compliance. E3.net will help us move confidently into the future, which is all about using tablets, smarter data collection; particularly as our working is integrated here, as we rotate midwives into the community and back again. It will be vital for us to access live data and enter live data. I am really looking forward to using the new system as we will really benefit from time saving and improving efficiency.”
